Statement from Tel Aviv: Israeli technology will not be included in F-35s to be sold to Turkey

Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel made a statement regarding the F-35 fighter jets that Turkey wishes to purchase.

Speaking to the Greek newspaper Kathimerini, Haskel noted that a significant portion of the high technology used in F-35s is of Israeli origin. Haskel said, "This technology will not be present in the F-35s that Turkey might receive."

Haskel expressed that Israel is opposed to a potential agreement that could be made between the US and Turkey regarding F-35s.

In her statement, Haskel also touched upon the trilateral cooperation between Greece, the Greek Cypriot Administration (GCA), and Israel, stating that this cooperation holds strategic importance for Israel.

Stating that a decision has been made to implement the first phase of the electricity interconnection between Israel and the GCA, Haskel used the following expressions:

"We are not waiting for the processes between Greece and the GCA to be completely clarified. As Israel, we are taking on our own responsibility and making preparations for the implementation of the agreement."
