Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, stating that Europe's peaceful era has come to an end, shared his assessments regarding the future of tensions with Russia.
Speaking at the European People's Party (EPP) meeting held in Bucharest, Romania, on Thursday, Tusk said, "The era of peace is over. The post-war era has ended. We are going through a new era, a pre-war era" he stated.
The Polish Prime Minister stated, "The fight against totalitarian tendencies, corruption, and lies is continuing on many fronts. The most dramatic example of this is, of course, what is happening in the war in Ukraine."
Tusk concluded his remarks by saying, "We are facing a simple choice: Either we will fight to protect our borders, our territory, and our values, and to defend our citizens and future generations, or we will accept defeat."
