Suspect plotting assassination of Trump's daughter captured in Turkey

32-year-old Mohammed Bakir Said Davut el Saadi has been detained in Turkey on charges of plotting an assassination against Ivanka Trump. The US Department of Justice shared information that El Saadi was targeting the former president's eldest daughter in retaliation for the killing of Qasem Soleimani.
According to a report by the New York Post, the suspect was captured in Turkey on May 15 while preparing to travel to the US as part of the investigation. It was revealed that El Saadi possessed a floor plan of Ivanka Trump's home on Indian Creek Island in Florida.
It was stated that the suspect, who published the map of the mansion where Ivanka Trump and her family live on his X social media account, made threats against the address where she resides with Jared Kushner and their three children. In his posts, the suspect reportedly wrote, "I tell Americans to look at this photo and know that neither their palaces nor the Secret Service can protect them. We are currently only in the surveillance and analysis phase. I told you before, our revenge is just a matter of time."
LINKED TO MANY PREVIOUS ATTACKS
The charges against El Saadi were not limited to the US. The Department of Justice announced that the suspect is linked to a total of 18 attacks or attempted attacks in Europe and America. While investigation details indicate that the majority of the targeted individuals were Jewish citizens, it was also learned that El Saadi is accused of planning an armed attack on the US Consulate in Toronto and a bombing at a bank in Amsterdam.
Elizabeth Tsurkov of the New Lines Institute in Washington confirmed the suspect's connection to the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, stating, "After losing his father, El Saadi adopted Qasem Soleimani as a father figure."
The detained suspect has been placed in solitary confinement at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center in New York. Figures such as Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro have also previously been held at the same center. While lawyers have not commented on the investigation, there has been no official statement from the White House or the US Department of Justice yet.
