Speaking about Israel for the first time since the fall of Bashar al-Assad, Al-Sharaa said that Israel no longer has an excuse to carry out airstrikes in Syria and that the recent attacks on Syrian territory have crossed red lines.
Stating that Israel is causing an unjust threat of escalation in the region, Al-Sharaa emphasized that at this stage, Syria will not be dragged into conflicts that could lead to further destruction, and that reconstruction and stability are the primary priorities.
Adding that Iran's presence in Syria poses a major danger to Syria itself, neighboring countries, and the Gulf, Al-Sharaa stated, "We were able to end Iran's presence in Syria, but we are not enemies of the Iranian people."
