Tensions escalate between Israel and Iran: 'We are on high alert and extremely prepared'

Iran had announced that it views a potential response against Israel following the consulate attack as "self-defense." Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Spokesperson Daniel Hagari made a statement regarding these remarks.
Addressing preparations against potential attacks from Iran, Hagari said, "We are on high alert and extremely prepared for various scenarios. We are constantly assessing the situation. We are ready for both offense and defense using the various capabilities that the IDF possesses, together with our strategic partners."
ISRAEL AND THE US ON HIGH ALERT
Israel's attacks that led to the deaths of Iranian security forces and, most recently, the targeting of the Iranian Consulate in Damascus have escalated tensions between the two countries.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian's statement that the targeting of the consulate would not go unanswered has put Israel and the US on high alert.

Stating that US Central Command (CENTCOM) Commander General Michael Kurilla arrived in the country this morning to assess security issues in the region with Israeli Chief of General Staff Herzi Halevi, Hagari said, "Our strategic relationship with the US armed forces is strong and tight. An attack from Iranian territory would be clear proof of Iran's intention to escalate the situation in the Middle East and stop hiding behind others."
Emphasizing that they have a very successful air defense capability, Hagari stated that civilians should continue to follow the current and unchanged Home Front Command guidelines and remain vigilant.
