US billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk has harshly criticized the tax and spending bill that President Donald Trump submitted to Congress via his social media platform, X. Musk stated, "This massive, mind-boggling, plunder-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting disgrace."

The bill in question includes a major tax overhaul while increasing public spending and is being promoted by Trump as a "big, beautiful bill." However, according to Musk, this regulation is dragging the country's economy toward disaster.

Musk wrote the following on the X social media platform:

"I'm sorry, but I can't take it anymore. This massive, mind-boggling, plunder-filled Congressional spending bill is a disgusting disgrace. Shame on those who vote for it: You know you are doing the wrong thing. You know it. This bill will push the already massive budget deficit to 2.5 trillion dollars (!!) and will place American citizens under an unbearable level of unsustainable debt burden."

Musk, who made significant donations to Trump's election campaign last year, had resigned from his post at the White House last week. Musk was the head of a unit called the "Department of Government Efficiency" (DOGE), which was established to reduce fraud and waste. Musk argued that the Republican bill would undermine DOGE's efforts and plunge the US into even more debt.
