The amount spent by the British for the Olympics has been revealed: A total of 65 medals were won

The Paris 2024 Olympics concluded as of August 11. Among the countries that won the most medals, Great Britain finished the Olympics in 7th place with a total of 65 medals, winning 14 gold, 22 silver, and 29 bronze.

However, the British media is discussing the money spent for the Paris 2024 Olympics and asking the question: "Is it really worth it?"

The British press, which began calculating the costs after the games, claimed that approximately 245 million pounds (10.65 billion TL) was spent, including government support and funds.

Great Britain, which participated in Paris 2024 with 270 athletes, won a total of 65 medals, including 14 gold, 22 silver, and 29 bronze. While the cost per medal was calculated at 3.77 million pounds (164 million TL), it turns out that when only gold medals are considered, 17.5 million pounds (761 million TL) was spent for each one.

At the top of the medal table in Paris 2024, the USA took the lead with 40 gold, 44 silver, and 42 bronze, while China secured second place with 40 gold, 27 silver, and 24 bronze. Great Britain finished the games in seventh place.
