EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission Josep Borrell made statements regarding the Russia-Ukraine war in Washington D.C., the capital of the United States.
Addressing the crisis regarding aid to Ukraine in the U.S., Borrell called out to American politicians, saying, "Whatever needs to be done, it must be done quickly."
"WE HAVE TO DO IT FASTER"
Emphasizing the need to accelerate support for Ukraine, Borrell said, "We must increase our support, do more and do it faster. That is why we are increasing our defense capacities. This also applies to the U.S."
Stating that the coming months will be decisive in the Russia-Ukraine war, Borrell said, "Many analysts expect a major Russian offensive this summer, and Ukraine cannot wait for the outcome of the next U.S. elections."
