The US had struck: Is there a leak at the nuclear facilities? The expected statement from Iran has arrived

The Iranian National Nuclear Safety System Center has published a detailed assessment report regarding the three strategic nuclear facilities targeted by the US. The report stated that no radioactive leaks were detected following comprehensive field scans conducted at the Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan facilities.

“NO CONTAMINATION DETECTED, NO DANGER TO THE PUBLIC”

In the statement issued by the Center, it was noted, “As a result of the radioactive material monitoring systems and regional analyses activated after the attack, no radioactive contamination has been recorded. Therefore, there is currently no health threat to the public living in the surrounding area.”

The statement further indicated that the engineering measures and evacuation protocols previously implemented for the security of the facilities functioned effectively, thereby preventing a potential leak.

FACILITIES WERE UNDERGROUND, PROTECTED BY HEAVY ARMOR

It was announced that in the attacks carried out by the US, the Fordo nuclear facility, which was built dozens of meters underground, was specifically targeted with bunker-buster GBU-57 bombs. However, it is stated that a major catastrophe was averted thanks to the underground locations of the facilities and their advanced armored protection systems.

ROUTINE CHECKS WILL CONTINUE

The National Nuclear Safety System Center announced that environmental radiation monitoring and security checks at the relevant facilities will continue with increased intensity for several weeks. It was also stated that independent scientific teams will participate in the process throughout the duration.
