The world is talking about Jordan's 'we will consider it a declaration of war' statement: A warning to Israel

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi held a joint press conference with his German counterpart Annalena Baerbock, who arrived in Amman for official talks.

Stating that Jordan is preparing the necessary legal files to file a lawsuit regarding Israel's raids on holy sites in Jerusalem, Safadi did not provide information on the authority to which these files would be submitted.

"WE WILL CONSIDER IT A DECLARATION OF WAR"

Safadi emphasized that any attempt by Israel to displace Palestinians in the occupied West Bank to Jordan would be considered a "declaration of war."

Calling on the international community to take action before the West Bank and the entire region turn into a battlefield, Safadi stated that the first step to prevent the situation in the region from worsening is to stop the attacks on Palestinian territories.

"IT IS DISRUPTING THE NEGOTIATIONS"

Regarding the indirect negotiations between Hamas and Israel, the Jordanian Foreign Minister expressed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is disrupting the negotiations by changing his stance and introducing new conditions.

German Foreign Minister Baerbock also condemned the rhetoric and actions of ministers in the Israeli government regarding the holy sites in Jerusalem in her speech, stating that these are escalating the current tension.

Responding to a question about why Germany has not stopped arms sales to Israel, Baerbock replied, "We follow a strict policy regarding arms exports and we are determined on this matter. The weapons we export to Israel are not weapons of war."

Speaking about the reflections of the situation in Gaza and the West Bank on Lebanon and Iran, Baerbock emphasized that "the Middle and Near East are on the brink of a real catastrophe, and in this context, it is essential to implement lasting peace and a two-state solution in the region."
