Founded by Elon Musk in 2002, SpaceX has taken action for the first private spacewalk.

The Falcon 9 rocket was launched by SpaceX from the Kennedy Space Center in the state of Florida, and the journey of SpaceX engineers Sarah Gillis, Anna Mennon, and pilot Scott Poteet, led by U.S. billionaire businessman Jared Isaacman, has begun.

The spacewalk, which is considered 'one of the riskiest parts of an astronaut's space journey,' is planned to take place tomorrow or Thursday without moving away from the capsule.

WHAT IS THE POLARIS DAWN MISSION?

As part of the Polaris Dawn mission, the crew aims to perform the first spacewalk in human history on the 3rd day of their 5-day mission.

While the crew is expected to enter orbit through a radiation belt and reach the highest Earth orbit, they will be inside a capsule named "Crew Dragon."

Within the framework of the mission, where the focus is on the spacewalk, the team will also conduct scientific experiments.

The mission is also expected to be the first place where the laser-based communication of Starlink, the satellite internet system owned by Musk, is tested.

Meanwhile, in addition to Polaris Dawn, the first mission under SpaceX's Polaris program, 2 more missions are planned to be implemented in the coming period.
