Invited as a speaker to the 162nd Arab League Council of Foreign Ministers meeting, Hakan Fidan made statements regarding Israel's ongoing attacks in Gaza and Turkey's relations with Arab countries. Emphasizing the importance of developing 'sincere' relations in his remarks, Fidan also reacted to Israel due to its operations in Gaza.

In his speech at the opening session of the meeting, Fidan pointed out that Gaza is under blockade and that this situation has created a humanitarian tragedy, stating that Turkey's embargo on Israel will continue until the blockade is lifted.

Fidan stated, 'The attack by hundreds of radical Israelis on the Haram al-Sharif is a provocation. The Muslim world will do its utmost to protect the Islamic identity of the Haram al-Sharif.'

On the other hand, Fidan also reacted to the countries and leaders who provide unconditional support to the Israeli government, saying, 'Those who continue to support Netanyahu are also accomplices in the ongoing genocide. They, too, will be held accountable.'

Drawing attention to the relations recently rebuilt between Arab countries and Turkey, Fidan said, 'Turkey is sincere in its approach to the Arab world and possesses the necessary political will.'

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister noted that the 15th session of the Turkish-Arab Economic Forum will take place in Istanbul in October.
