Thousands displaced, two dead
It has been reported that 2 people lost their lives and approximately 10,000 people were displaced due to "Cyclone Tej," which struck the city of Al-Mahrah in eastern Yemen.

According to Yemen's official news agency SABA, Al-Mahrah Governor Mohammed Ali Yasser submitted a report on the cyclone to Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen.
According to the report, 2 people died and 150 were injured in the city, where serious damage occurred to infrastructure as well as private and public property. Approximately 10,000 people were displaced in the Al-Ghaydah and Haswain districts, which were the most affected areas of the city.
In the Al-Ghaydah and Haswain districts, the distribution of food packages and necessary shelter materials has begun, in addition to the distribution of meals to 7,000 people.
In a statement made on the X social media platform, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) stated that 300 houses were destroyed and 314 houses were damaged in the city of Socotra due to the cyclone.
