Threat from Iran to the US and Israel: You will not escape this fire

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian spoke at an emergency meeting on Gaza held at the UN General Assembly in New York, USA.

''THEY WATCHED THE MASSACRE OF 7 THOUSAND PALESTINIANS''

Criticizing the support provided by the US and some Western countries for Israel's attacks on the Gaza Strip, Amir-Abdollahian said, "The decisions taken in the Security Council support Israel's attacks on Gaza and ignore the Palestinians' legitimate right to self-defense by labeling them as terrorists. The Security Council has failed to ensure peace. The US and some European countries watched the massacre of 7 thousand Palestinian civilians in Gaza in just 3 weeks. They are also providing weapons and financial support to this regime," he stated.

''THE US AND ISRAEL WILL NOT BE ABLE TO ESCAPE THIS FIRE''

Emphasizing that Israel is committing genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, Amir-Abdollahian warned the US against providing arms support to Israel. Stating that the Tehran administration does not want war in the region but that Israeli attacks on Gaza must stop, Amir-Abdollahian said, "I am addressing the US officials here who support the genocide in Gaza. We do not want the war in the region to expand and grow, but if the genocide in Gaza continues, the US and Israel will not be able to escape this fire."

''PALESTINIANS HAVE THE RIGHT TO DEFEND THEMSELVES''

Emphasizing that Palestinians under occupation have the right to defend themselves against Israel, Amir-Abdollahian said that Palestinians have the right to self-determination and to establish a state with Jerusalem as its capital. Amir-Abdollahian stated, "The Zionist regime is built on occupation and deception. It is responsible for over 20 wars in the region so far. It has even attempted to attack countries that do not share a border with it. This regime has an occupying structure that does not comply with any international law. Hamas and other Palestinian resistance groups have the right to defend themselves against the occupying regime. The Zionist regime portraying itself as a victim is just a comical and ridiculous situation."

''WE ARE READY TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY''

Stating that Hamas is ready for a prisoner exchange with Israel, Amir-Abdollahian said that Hamas is ready to release all civilian Israelis in exchange for the 6 thousand Palestinians held by Israel. Amir-Abdollahian said, "Hamas leaders have informed us that they are ready to exchange prisoners with civilian Israelis. We are ready to take responsibility for ensuring peace and stability in the region. Iran is ready to contribute to the prisoner exchange together with Qatar and Turkey."
