Trump and al-Shara discuss regional and international issues
The Syrian Presidency announced that Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara and US President Donald Trump discussed strengthening relations between the two countries, as well as several regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The Syrian Presidency issued a statement regarding the meeting held between Syrian President Ahmed al-Shara and US President Donald Trump at the White House.
The statement released by the Presidency noted that the meeting was also attended by Syrian Foreign Minister Assad Hassan al-Shaibani, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and the US Ambassador to Ankara and US Special Envoy for Syria Tom Barrack.
The statement reported that the meeting addressed bilateral relations between Syria and the US, the strengthening of these relations, and several regional and international issues of mutual interest.
