Trump announces: Investigation launched into the Pentagon... 'You will see some pretty bad things'
Trump announced that the Pentagon will also be subject to an investigation as part of the audits being conducted across federal agencies. According to the statement, some Pentagon officials may be removed from their posts as part of the review.

Holding a joint press conference at the White House with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba, US President Donald Trump noted that the Department of Defense (Pentagon) has been included in the audits being conducted by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) across federal agencies. Depending on the results of the investigation, high-level Pentagon officials may be forced to leave their posts. Trump stated that as a result of the audit of the military, 'very bad things will be seen.'
Trump reminded that American billionaire businessman and DOGE director Elon Musk is conducting in-depth investigations into many federal agencies, particularly those that handle international expenditures such as the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Noting that Musk has a very good team and that they will look at all institutions that need to be examined, including some ministries, to see if they are efficient, Trump stated that they would look at the Department of Education and the Pentagon in the first stage.
Trump expressed the following regarding the investigation into the Pentagon:
''I told Elon Musk to go and examine the Department of Education and the Pentagon, that is, the military. Unfortunately, you will see some pretty bad things.''
'CORRUPT' EMPLOYEES WILL BE WEEDED OUT
Trump also emphasized that he would remove some FBI officials from their posts because they are 'corrupt' when asked whether he would dismiss the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) officials who oversaw the January 6 Capitol riot investigation.
The US President emphasized that they did not have a conversation about whether there are federal agencies that Musk could never audit, but that intelligence units could be evaluated in this sense, adding, '(The audits) If I need to do them, I will do them myself.'
Stating that 'corrupt' employees in the bureau should be weeded out, Trump declared, ''We will restore the reputation of the FBI.''
In 2022, the FBI raided Trump's home, and a search of the house determined that 11 sets of 'classified documents' had been removed from the White House and brought to Trump's private residence. Following the operation, Trump accused the Department of Justice and the FBI of setting him up.
