OIL DEAL ANNOUNCED
In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump announced that the interim administration in Venezuela will transfer 30 to 50 million barrels of high-quality oil, which is currently under sanctions, to the US. Stating that the oil in question will be offered for sale at market price, Trump also provided details regarding the use of the proceeds.
REVENUE WILL BE UNDER TRUMP'S CONTROL
The US President stated in his post, "The revenue generated will be under my control as President of the United States to ensure it is used for the benefit of both the people of Venezuela and the United States." Trump emphasized that the process will be carried out under the direct supervision of the White House.
INSTRUCTIONS TO THE DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY
Stating that he has asked US Secretary of Energy Chris Wright to implement this plan immediately, Trump said, "This oil will be picked up by storage tankers and brought directly to US discharge docks."
