Trump asks Shara, 'How many wives do you have?'
Hosting Syrian President Ahmed Shara at the White House, Trump made headlines once again with the conversation he had there.

Moments from the end of the first-ever meeting between US President Trump and Syrian President Shara on November 10, during which the two leaders exchanged gifts and chatted, have appeared on social media.
Trump, who gifted Shara a perfume bearing his own brand, personally sprayed the perfume on the Syrian President.
Trump stated that he had also gifted one of the same perfumes to his wife and, laughing, asked Shara, "How many wives do you have?"
Shara laughed at Trump's question and replied, "One."

Later, Shara, who presented Trump with gifts including the world's first written customs tariff, the first stamp printed in Syria, and some historical and archaeological artifacts from his country, made a 'joke' in return, asking Trump, "The second gift is for the First Lady. How many wives do you have?" Trump laughed and replied to the question, "One for now."
