U.S. President Donald Trump attended the funeral service held at the Washington National Cathedral for Republican Senatör Lindsey Graham, who passed away on July 11.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy also attended the ceremony. In his speech at the service, Trump said that he and Graham had become close friends, especially over the last 10 years.

Emphasizing Graham's influence on Washington politics, Trump stated, "He had an extremely hawkish stance. For over 30 years, no major event happened in this capital without Lindsey Graham knowing about it. During the most extraordinary period in the history of the Republicans, no bill became law without Graham having a say."

It was announced that following the ceremony in Washington, Graham would be taken to his home state of South Carolina and laid to rest today in a private ceremony to be held by his family.
