US President Donald Trump expressed the view that they had destroyed Iran within 11 days, stating, "We won, but I don't want to leave early."
Speaking at a meeting in Kentucky, Trump used the phrase, "We won."
"You don't want to say you won too early... We won. It was over in the first hour," said Trump, adding that they do not want to leave the region yet.
Continuing by saying, "I don't want to keep going back to Iran," the US President did not provide any evidence for his claim that the "war was won."
Trump also spoke about how the name 'Operation Epic Fury' was chosen:
"They gave me about 20 names. And I was almost falling asleep. I didn't like any of them. Then I saw Epic Fury. I said, 'I like that name.'"
Trump praised the decision by member countries of the International Energy Agency to supply an additional 400 million barrels of oil to the market. According to Trump, this decision will "significantly lower oil prices."
