Trump: I am demanding compensation from Iran

US President Donald Trump has made a new statement regarding the issue of compensation in the talks with Iran. In a post on his social media account, Trump said, "I see that Iranian representatives are demanding compensation for the damages they incurred during the last 5 months of military conflict.

However, this issue has not been raised in any of our negotiations or meetings.

But this is an interesting idea. Because I am now also demanding compensation from Iran for all the people they have killed and severely wounded in many conflicts, including those carried out under the leadership of General Qasem Soleimani."

Recalling the 2000 bombing of the US Navy destroyer USS Cole in the Port of Aden, Yemen, which resulted in the deaths of 17 US sailors and the wounding of 39 others, Trump stated that he is also seeking compensation for the families of those who lost their lives in that attack.

Reiterating that thousands of people have lost their lives in street protests in Iran, the US President stated, "Furthermore, compensation should be paid to the families of the hundreds of thousands of innocent protesters that Iran has killed over the last 50 years.

I am not even mentioning the 52 thousand people killed in the last 5 months.

I have instructed my representatives to absolutely include this issue in all future negotiations."

In his statement, Trump added, "Additionally, Iran must be held accountable for the harm and deaths inflicted upon people in Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, and Gaza."
