Trump: I will declare the Strait of Hormuz American territory very soon

US President Donald Trump spoke at a police training center in Garden City, New York. Discussing the cost of living and noting that oil prices would fall after the war with Iran ends, Trump said, "This will happen after we finish defeating Iran. Right now, Iran is suffering a very heavy defeat. I will declare the Strait of Hormuz American territory very soon. That is the situation. We are enforcing the blockade, and no ship can pass unless we want it to."

Stating that he has rebuilt the US military, Trump said, "I had to use the military a little more than I wanted to. But that's okay. Because we cannot allow Iran to have nuclear weapons. We cannot allow that."

Explaining that the American economy was in very good shape before the war with Iran and that they decided to launch an operation against Iran "to extinguish a fire in the Middle East of a magnitude never seen before," Trump said, "We could not let Iran continue like this. They were going to have nuclear weapons. If we hadn't hit them with B-2 bombers, they would have obtained nuclear weapons. This would have been very sad for both our country and the world. That is why I said, 'We have to extinguish the fire in the Middle East,' and we did it. They will never have nuclear weapons. We have built up a large force," he stated.

Demanding that those who have to pay more for fuel due to the war with Iran understand that this is a sacrifice they are making to ensure Iran does not have nuclear weapons, Trump said, "Iran is the country that provides the most support for terrorism in the world. We do not want them to have nuclear weapons. So, remember this when you have to pay a little extra." Trump added, "I will never apologize for doing this. I did the right thing."

Arguing that the US carried out the attack on Iran for the whole world, Trump said, "We are doing a really great job. Our military is incredible, and the blockade we are enforcing is impenetrable. It is like a wall of steel."

"No one has any idea how successful we are in Iran"

Arguing that the US is on the verge of a great victory in Iran, following Venezuela, Trump said, "No one has any idea how successful we are in Iran. The media doesn't want to write about it, but they know the truth. Do you know who knows how well we are doing? Iran."

Stating that Iran's entire navy has been destroyed, Trump said, "They had a total of 159 ships. All of them are currently at the bottom of the sea. They had 212 very beautiful aircraft, and some of them they had received from the US during the Obama era. All of their aircraft were shot down. They are all gone. They have no leaders left. Their first tier of leadership is gone. Their second tier of leadership is also gone. Half of the third tier is also gone. That is one of my problems. There is no one left to negotiate with." Trump added, "Iran is the only country in the world where no one wants to be president."

Saying that Iran still has missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles but that they are not many, Trump said, "Most of their production capacity has been destroyed."

Reacting to reports in the US media arguing that Iran is in very good shape, Trump said that inflation in Iran is 350 percent and that its currency has become worthless. Trump said, "These are just fake news. There is nothing to be done about it."
