Addressing the administrations of Spain and the UK, Trump emphasized that he expects strong support from these two countries regarding the attacks they have launched against Iran alongside Israel.
Trump stated, "There are many winners in this process, but Spain is a losing country and the UK is also a major disappointment. Spain's behavior is hostile toward NATO."
Complaining that Spain is neither allowing the US military to use its bases nor paying its 5 percent contribution share within the scope of NATO, the US President said, "They are not good team players; we will not be team players with Spain again."
"PERFORMANCE IS A DISAPPOINTMENT"
Criticizing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer, Trump said, "He is no Winston Churchill. His performance is a disappointment. He should give us unquestioning and unhesitating support, for example, regarding the use of bases..."
“I NEED TO GET INVOLVED IN THIS LEADER SELECTION PROCESS”
In a phone interview with the news portal Axios, US President Trump stated that he saw the name of the son of Iran's former leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in the US-Israel attacks, coming to the fore, and said, "They are wasting their time. Khamenei's son is an insignificant person. Just as in the election of Delcy Rodriguez in Venezuela, I need to get involved in this leader selection process (in Iran)."
“KHAMENEI’S SON IS UNACCEPTABLE”
US President Trump stated, "Khamenei's son is unacceptable to me. We want someone who will bring harmony and peace to Iran."
Arguing that the leadership change in Venezuela was "very successful," Trump hinted that a similar scenario could be possible in Iran.
Emphasizing that a leader who would continue Khamenei's policies would not be accepted by the US, Trump said such a situation would "drag the US back into war within 5 years."
Avoiding a concrete assessment on how to exit a war with Iran, Trump argued that they have been "quite successful" in the attacks carried out so far.
"I DON'T WANT BIBI TO HAVE ANYTHING ELSE ON HIS MIND BUT IRAN"
Trump also made an assessment regarding Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who is currently facing ongoing legal proceedings.
Noting that the only issue Netanyahu should focus on is "fighting Iran," Trump said, "The President (Herzog) should grant Bibi (Netanyahu) a pardon today. I don't want Bibi to have anything on his mind other than fighting Iran."
Arguing that the corruption case against Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu is a "witch hunt," Trump commented, "I talk to Bibi about the war every day. I want him to focus on the war, not on some damn court process. I want the only pressure on Bibi to be the war with Iran."
Trump also claimed that Israeli President Herzog had told him five times that he would grant a pardon to Netanyahu, but that he had not kept his word. The US President added that he would not meet with Herzog until he grants a pardon to Netanyahu.
“CUBA WILL FALL TOO”
Speaking to the American magazine Politico, he assessed that the Iranian administration would "give up" and then said, "Cuba will fall too."
When asked whether the US has a plan to overthrow the government in Cuba, Trump replied, "Well, what do you think? For 50 years, this issue has been like the icing on the cake. For me, it's a minor matter. Venezuela is doing great. (Delcy Rodriguez) is doing a great job. Our relations with them are great."
Noting that the US is in contact with Cuba's communist administration, Trump said, "They need help. We are talking to Cuba."
“WE WILL WORK WITH THE PEOPLE AND THE REGIME”
When asked a follow-up question about how much influence he would have over Iran's new leader, Trump assessed, "I will have a great influence, otherwise they won't be able to reach any agreement. We will work with the people and the regime to ensure that someone who can build Iran beautifully without nuclear weapons comes to power."
Explaining that they are following reports that the son of the late Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who lost his life in a US-Israel attack, might succeed him, Trump argued that the younger Khamenei is "incompetent."
Noting that they have large stockpiles of weapons to continue attacks against Iran, Trump said, "We are conducting a surgical strike. We have an unlimited supply of weapons."
"I WOULD SUPPORT A KURDISH ATTACK"
Stating that he would support the Kurds launching an attack on Iran, Trump said, "It's a great thing that they want to do that, I would fully support it."
