Trump: If we cannot reach a deal, it will be a very bad day for Iran and its people

US President Donald Trump made assessments regarding reports of a potential attack on Iran in a post on his social media account.

Stating that some media outlets, which he described as the "fake news media," reported that US Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Daniel Caine was against a war with Iran, Trump alluded, "These reports do not attribute this vast knowledge to anyone and are 100 percent false."

Emphasizing that General Caine, like everyone else, does not want to see war but believes that a victory would be easily achieved in a potential military move against Iran, Trump said, "He knows Iran well, as he was responsible for the 'Midnight Hammer' attack carried out against Iran's nuclear development facilities. Iran can no longer develop nuclear weapons because its facilities were destroyed by our wonderful B-2 bombers."

"I am the one who makes the decision"

Noting that General Caine, also known as "Razin," is a "great warrior" and "represents the world's most powerful military," Trump stated, "He did not talk about not attacking Iran or the fake, limited-scope attacks I read about in the press. He only knows how to win, and if he is told to do so, he will lead it."

Arguing that reports discussing potential war scenarios with Iran do not reflect the truth and were written incorrectly on purpose, Trump said, "I am the one who makes the decision. I would prefer to have a deal than not to have one. However, if we cannot reach a deal, it will be a very bad day for Iran and, unfortunately, for its people. Because the people of Iran are wonderful and good people, and such a thing should never happen to them."
