Interesting statement from Trump on World War III: It won't start in the Middle East

Within the scope of the "Peace Summit" held in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh for the purpose of maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza and establishing peace, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, US President Donald Trump, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, and Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani signed a "Letter of Intent" for Gaza.

In his statement before the signing ceremony, US President Donald Trump drew attention to the countries gathered at the summit and said, "We are likely facing the greatest collection of countries ever assembled in terms of wealth and power. It is an honor for me to be a part of this. Now, we will sign a very comprehensive document that covers many rules, regulations, and other elements."

Stating that documents regarding Israel, Hamas, and many other parties in the Middle East have already been signed, Trump said, "And everything is progressing extraordinarily. As you know, the hostages were released on time and as planned. Of course, it is a very sad situation for those who lost their lives. Their remains are still being searched for, and many parties are working together. Some have been found, while others have not." Stating that peace will be achieved in the Middle East after many years, Trump said, "We have received great support, especially from the countries represented at this table."

Turning first to the host, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, Trump said, "I want to say this, you were truly wonderful. Your country is incredible. They talk about you as if you were a bad person, and I don't think they treat you fairly. Yet, you are actually a very good person. You are in a difficult environment and surrounded on all sides. This became a reality thanks to you. So I want to thank you very much. And I would also like to mention Qatar, thank you. A great man and an extraordinary leader," he said.

TRUMP'S WORDS OF PRAISE FOR TURKEY'S MILITARY

Stating that he likes tough characters, not soft people, Trump then addressed President Erdoğan and said, "This gentleman comes from a place called Turkey and has one of the most powerful armies in the world. In fact, his army is even stronger than what they let us know. If you look at the recent conflicts, they have been at the forefront of all of them. He won, and when he won, he refrained from boasting about it. He doesn't want anything, he just wants peace. He is a tough man and my friend. Whenever I need him, he has always been by my side. That is why I want to thank the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Whenever NATO has an issue with him, they call me and say, 'Can you do us a favor, can you talk to Erdoğan?' And I talk, and he never lets us down. Never. It's truly incredible. I want to thank him for his friendship," he said.

Stating that he especially wanted to thank the host, Egypt, Trump said, "The reason we chose Egypt for this summit was that you were very helpful. And you were very helpful."

Emphasizing that the world's most powerful and wealthy countries have gathered at the summit, Trump said, "A unity as broad and powerful as today's has not been seen before. Personally, I have not seen such a picture before. I thank them all for being here with us," he said.

Later, turning to Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev and stating that it had not been long since the war between Azerbaijan and Iran ended, Trump said, "Did I do a good job?" Then, turning to Armenian leader Nikol Pashinyan, Trump joked, "You two are still getting along well, right?" US President Trump said, "They fought for 32 years, but we solved the issue in about an hour. Now they love each other. It's a wonderful thing. I think it's terrific," he said.

After signing the letter of intent with Egyptian President Sisi, President Erdoğan, and Emir of Qatar Al Thani, Trump said that the leaders of the world's most powerful and wealthiest countries had gathered to fix the situation in Gaza. In his statement after the signing, Trump said, "They wanted to fix the situation in Gaza, to put everything in order. The situation had gotten out of hand at one point. When they started to come together and talk, everything moved very quickly. It went incredibly smoothly. It went so smoothly that no one believed it could be this easy," he said.

Stating that he has signed many agreements so far but none of them were cared about by people as much as this one, Trump said, "They always say, 'World War III will start in the Middle East.' But that won't happen. Actually, we don't want it to start anywhere, but yes, it won't start. So I want to thank everyone," he said.
