Trump: Iran wants to make a deal but they are not ready yet

US President Donald Trump, in a statement regarding Iran, argued that the Tehran administration is seeking a deal but is not yet ready for one.

Trump noted that Iran has taken "very heavy blows," stating, "Iran is taking very heavy blows and they want to make a deal. But I don't think they are ready to make a deal yet. They are not ready, but they will be ready very soon."

The statement came at a time when tensions between Washington and Tehran and discussions regarding potential diplomatic contacts are ongoing. Trump suggested that Iran could reach a position closer to a deal in the near future.
