US President Donald Trump continues to make consecutive statements regarding the war with Iran. In a statement made after the Cabinet Meeting earlier in the day, Trump claimed that the request for negotiations did not come from him but from the Iranian side, and that they were practically begging; he described the Iranian administration as insane and stated that they should not possess nuclear weapons.
In a new statement, Trump announced that he has halted attacks on energy facilities until April 6 following a request from Iran.
Stating that talks with Iran are going well, Trump added, "Do not pay attention to media speculation."
POSTPONED FOR THE SECOND TIME
In a statement on March 23, Trump announced that if Iran did not fully open the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours, they would begin striking the country's power plants, and subsequently gave them a two-day deadline.
Trump later announced that he had postponed the attacks for 5 days, stating that the talks between the two countries were going well.
