In a statement on his social media account, Trump said, "I have had wonderful conversations with the honorable Lebanese President Joseph Aoun and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump announced that he has instructed U.S. Vice President James David Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine to work toward achieving a lasting peace between Lebanon and Israel.
