Claims regarding Trump's health status

There have been recent claims in the U.S. media regarding the health status of the U.S. President, who turned 80 on June 14.

In a photo taken in July 2025, Trump was seen with swollen ankles and what appeared to be an attempt to cover a bruise on his hand with makeup; more recent photos also revealed a blotchy rash on his neck, raising questions about his health.

White House Physician Sean Barbabella stated that Trump was using a "preventative skin cream" to treat the rash on his neck, but refrained from providing details about the condition.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt also stated that the swelling in Trump's leg was due to a "common" vascular condition, and that his hand was bruised "from too much handshaking."
