Trump: No one will be forced to leave Gaza

U.S. President Donald Trump met with Finnish President Alexander Stubb at the White House. The two leaders answered questions from journalists in the Oval Office. Addressing the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, U.S. President Trump said, "The hostages will be back on Monday or Tuesday. I will likely be there. I hope to be there. We are planning to head out sometime on Sunday, and I am looking forward to it. I see that there are celebrations in Israel."

Stating that no one will be forcibly displaced from the Gaza Strip, Trump said, "No one will be forced to leave Gaza. This is a great peace plan. This plan has been supported by everyone."

Regarding a question about the International Stabilization Force to be deployed to the Gaza Strip, Trump said, "It has not been determined yet. It will be a group of very wealthy countries that will fund this. People want this to work, and it is starting."

Touching upon the Russia-Ukraine War, Trump said, "No one in history has ended 8 wars in 9 months. This war will end too. Russia and Ukraine will sit at the table soon. Over 7,000 soldiers died unnecessarily last week. This is terrible."

When asked whether the U.S. would respond to a potential Russian attack on Finland, Trump said, "I would. Yes, I would. They are a NATO member," adding that he would "fiercely" defend Finland. When asked, "Will you impose more sanctions on Russia?" Trump replied, "I might."

"SPAIN SHOULD PERHAPS BE KICKED OUT OF NATO"

Addressing the defense spending of NATO countries and noting that it has been increased from 2 percent to 5 percent, Trump said, "It happened almost unanimously. We had one laggard: Spain. They have no excuse for not doing this; perhaps you should kick them out of NATO."

Stating that an icebreaker ship agreement has been made between the U.S. and Finland, Trump said, "We are building a total of 11 icebreakers; four in Finland and seven here. We are buying the best icebreakers in the world."

ON THE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE...

Regarding a question about the Nobel Peace Prize, Trump said, "I stopped eight wars, that had never happened before, but they will do what they have to do. Whatever they do, it's fine. I know this: I didn't do it for that purpose; I did it because I saved many lives."

Claiming that former U.S. President Barack Obama received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 without doing anything, Trump said, "He got the award for doing nothing. He was elected, and they gave Obama this award even though he did nothing but ruin our country. Obama was not a good president."
