Trump pledges to complete wall on Mexican border
Former United States (US) President and Republican Party presidential nominee Donald Trump has pledged to complete the wall that began construction on the Mexican border during his presidency if he is elected.

Visiting the Mexican border to draw attention to the issue of irregular migration, Donald Trump delivered a speech in Cochise County in the south of Arizona, right next to the border wall and in front of the metal beams used in its construction.
In his speech, Trump shared disturbing information regarding crimes committed by irregular migrants who entered the country illegally in states such as Michigan, New York, Georgia, and Virginia, and stated that the responsibility for this lies with the immigration policies of US President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris.
Promising to complete the wall that began construction on the Mexican border during his presidency if he wins the election, Trump said he would work to impose harsher penalties on drug traffickers in his second term and would launch the largest deportation operation in history against irregular migrants. Trump said, “Kamala Harris will never build the wall. She doesn’t want to do it. If she changes her mind on this, she will only do it because she wants to get elected.”
Trump stated, “The election is easy; either Kamala Harris grants amnesty to criminals, or President Trump deports the criminals...”
During his visit to the Mexican border, Trump met with the families of citizens killed by migrants who have entered the US illegally since 2020, saying, “There is no border anywhere in the world that has this much leakage.”
He claimed that Democratic Party presidential nominee Kamala Harris wants to shut down the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, which combats irregular migration.
Trump said, “Harris argues that irregular migrants should benefit from healthcare services for free. She has promised to grant amnesty and citizenship to irregular migrants. This will destroy our social security.”
DEATH THREAT QUESTION
Taking questions from the press at the end of his speech, Trump was asked if he had any information regarding a person who had threatened him with death and was being sought by the police.
In response to a journalist who suggested that his presence in the region could be dangerous, Trump said, “I heard it was dangerous, but I have a job to do.”
In Cochise County, police have launched an operation to find a 66-year-old suspect named Ronald Syvrud, who made death threats against presidential candidate Trump on social media.
The death threat against Trump, who narrowly escaped an assassination attempt in Pennsylvania in July, occurred just before the Republican politician's visit to Cochise County. Arizona state and federal authorities are also supporting police forces who were unable to find the suspect named Ronald Syvrud at his home.
