Trump emphasized that his meeting with Erdoğan went very well and stated that they made progress on many issues during their discussions.

US President Trump remarked, "We had a great meeting with President Erdoğan today. I think we had a very productive discussion on many different topics, they were very good. He is a very respected President, we spent time together, had lunch, and had good talks on many issues."

Erdoğan is a great President, a very smart man. He will do the right thing."
