Trump's decision to ban AP from the Oval Office!
Following his directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America," U.S. President Donald Trump stated that the Associated Press (AP) will not be allowed into the Oval Office until they change their stance and adopt the new name.

During the meeting, Trump was asked about his decision to ban the Associated Press (AP) news agency from the Oval Office after they continued to use the old name following his executive order to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America.” Trump took a clear stance on the matter,
stating, "I don't know what they're doing, but I'm just saying they're going to stay out until they acknowledge that it is the Gulf of America." he stated.
Emphasizing his executive order, Trump expressed that he could not understand why the AP was still using the old name and found this stance "ridiculous."
"They are not doing us any favors, and I guess I won't be doing them any favors. That's how life works," said Trump, clearly stating that the AP "Gulf of America" would not be admitted to the Oval Office unless they adopted the name.
Meanwhile, in a statement from the AP, the White House was criticized, with the agency asserting that the Trump administration's stance was contrary to press freedom.

U.S. President Donald Trump had issued a directive in an executive order signed at the White House on January 20 to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the "Gulf of America."
However, the AP announced that it would not comply with Trump's directive. In a statement, it was emphasized that the change in question was only valid for the U.S. and did not bind Mexico or other international organizations.
The executive order signed by Trump included the phrases, "President Trump is bringing common sense to government and renewing the foundations of American civilization."
