US President Donald Trump spoke at the United Nations General Assembly in New York. However, the insulting remarks in Trump's speech drew backlash.

At the beginning of his speech, Trump's teleprompter also failed. Upon this, Trump said, "The teleprompter is not working. Whoever is operating it is in trouble. I can continue without a teleprompter," and proceeded with his speech.

Trump accused the UN of being ineffective, attacked Hamas, and stated that he would not recognize Palestine. Admitting that he could not end the war in Ukraine, Trump targeted Europe over its energy and migration policies.

'YOU REWARDED HAMAS'

Criticizing the United Nations, Trump said, "In just 7 months, I ended 7 separate wars. They said, 'These cannot be ended,' but I ended them. The UN could have done these in my place. The UN did not even try to help."

Attacking Hamas, Trump said, "I made efforts for a ceasefire in Gaza, but Hamas rejects peace proposals. Recognizing a Palestinian state right now would mean rewarding atrocities like those on October 7. Those who want peace must unite: they must say release the hostages immediately," and declared that he would not recognize Palestine.

REMARKS AMOUNTING TO AN INSULT TO THE UN

Continuing his speech, Trump said, "Not once did I receive a call from the UN offering help. Many people's lives were saved. The only thing I got from the UN was an escalator. The UN has great potential, but it cannot even come close to that potential. They write strong letters to Israel, but they are always empty words. It is actions that solve wars, not empty words. I came here to extend the hand of friendship of the United States. I promise prosperity to all nations that want to join us."

I COULD NOT END THE WAR, BUT...

Trump also admitted that he could not end the war in Ukraine. Trump said, "I thought I could end this war by relying on my relationship with Putin. However, it did not happen that way. Wars become unpredictable."

Admitting that he could not end the war, Trump immediately criticized European countries afterward. The US President said, "The Europeans will not like my speech, but let them not like it. They cannot both buy oil and gas from Russia and expect the war to end. This trade must end."

Trump added, "If Russia is not ready to make a deal to end the war, the United States is fully prepared to impose a very strong set of sanctions... However, for these tariffs to be effective, European countries must also take the same measures as us... They must immediately stop ALL energy purchases from Russia."

Furthermore, criticizing the migrant intake of European countries, Trump said, "What makes every country beautiful is that they are unique. You must close your borders. Your prisons are full of refugees. Europe is full of refugees and no one is doing anything to stop it. Your countries are turning into hell."

Stating that he stopped the "flood of refugees" in his own country, Trump thanked El Salvador for "imprisoning criminal refugees."

REMARKS ON RENEWABLE ENERGY

Trump also made extraordinary criticisms of renewable energy. Trump said, "I appreciate China. They sold you all wind turbines, but they themselves burn coal. Green energy is losing you money and you are still continuing. You should profit from oil and natural gas. This is unsustainable."

Trump said, "They had said that by the year 2000, climate change would change the whole world and it would be like an apocalypse. It did not happen. We are at the United Nations again. Trump, I am right about everything and I am telling you, give up on green energy. Global warming is a lie and was invented by stupid people."
