Trump spoke about Iran at a press conference held at the White House

US President Donald Trump made statements about Iran at a press conference held at the White House. Claiming that Iran is weeks away from producing nuclear weapons, Trump said, "If they have nuclear weapons, they will definitely use them, so they will not have nuclear weapons."

Stating that the diplomatic option is not completely closed, Trump said, "Iran wants to come to the White House, maybe I will do that." Trump added, "We are not looking for a ceasefire, we are looking for a total victory. That means Iran not having nuclear weapons."

"I think Iran is only a few weeks away from reaching a nuclear weapon. If they have nuclear weapons, they will definitely use them," Trump said, adding, "Other countries wouldn't use them, but I believe they would. Therefore, Iran cannot have nuclear weapons."

"A DEAL WAS VERY CLOSE"

Referring to the indirect nuclear negotiations held with Iran in recent months, Trump said, "I had made them a very good offer. They finally decided to listen, and now they say they wish they had listened." Stating that the door to diplomacy is still open, Trump said, "They want to see me at the White House, that's a big statement, but maybe it's too late now."

"I WANT TO MAKE THE DECISION AT THE LAST SECOND"

Trump said he has not made a final decision regarding a potential military operation. "I have ideas about what to do, but I haven't made a final decision yet. I want to make the final decision at the last second because everything can change in war," said Trump, emphasizing that he will act strategically on this matter.

Referring to the first night the conflicts began, Trump said, "Everything started on the first night. That night was devastating and really shook one side. We are in the middle of the situation, there is a lot of death and destruction. It's a terrible thing."

"MY SUPPORTERS DO NOT WANT IRAN TO HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS"

Answering the question of whether the regime in Iran will change, Trump said, "Of course. Anything can happen, right?" Stating that uncertainties regarding the future of Iran continue, Trump said, "I don't want to fight, but I also cannot accept them having nuclear weapons."

Stating that the military option is on the table if necessary by saying, "If we have to choose between fighting and Iran having nuclear weapons, we must do what is necessary," Trump added, "My supporters do not want Iran to have nuclear weapons. We are very clear on this."

"THE DOOR TO NEGOTIATION IS OPEN, BUT IT IS NOT EASY"

Stating that he is open to talks with Iran, Trump said, "I haven't closed the door to talking to them. But it's hard for them to get out of there. One of them wants to come, but bombs are falling everywhere, they can't get out."

"WE WANT A COMPLETE VICTORY"

Criticizing French President Emmanuel Macron's ceasefire statement at the G7 Summit, Trump said, "The word ceasefire is a bad expression. Because it means everything is fine. We don't want a ceasefire. We want a full, complete victory. The definition of victory is Iran having no nuclear weapons."

"ISRAEL IS IN A STRONG POSITION"

Arguing that Israel is in a strong position in the war, Trump referred to the conflicts between India and Pakistan and said, "Both countries are nuclear powers. Therefore, it is very important that they decide not to enter into a nuclear war. It is a great achievement that they are here today and sharing their responsibilities regarding ending the conflict."

In his statement to reporters, Trump announced that a meeting would be held in the Situation Room within an hour to evaluate developments regarding the evacuation of US citizens from Israel, saying, "We will see what happens."

"OUR WEAPONS ARE THE BEST IN THE WORLD"

Emphasizing the technological superiority of the US military, Trump said, "We have planes that cannot be detected by anyone. If you are stealthy, you don't lose. Our weapons are the best in the world. Israel also has very good systems."

Iran, on the other hand, rejected the statements regarding its representatives coming to the White House. The Permanent Mission of Iran to the United Nations denied Trump's statement that "Iranian representatives wanted to come to the White House but I said it was difficult," stating, "No Iranian official has requested to stand at the White House door."
