Trump threatens new tariffs on China
U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a statement that they will impose new tariffs on China.

In a statement posted on his social media account, Trump noted the following:
"Unless China reverses the 34 percent increase it has imposed in addition to its long-term trade abuses by tomorrow, the United States will impose an additional 50 percent customs duty on China as of April 9.
Furthermore, all ongoing negotiations held in line with China's request to meet with us will be terminated.
Negotiations with other countries that have requested meetings will be initiated immediately."
