Trump threatens to 'wipe Iran off the face of the earth'

US President Donald Trump addressed the tensions in the Strait of Hormuz in an interview with Fox News.

Trump threatened to "wipe Iran off the face of the earth" if it attacks US Navy ships escorting vessels stranded in the Strait of Hormuz as part of the US Project Freedom.

Trump also said he believes Iran has "become much more flexible" in peace negotiations. Stating that the American military buildup in the region continues, Trump said, "We have a much higher level of weapons and ammunition than we had before. We have the best equipment. We have military assets all over the world, we have bases everywhere. They are all full of equipment. We can use all of them if necessary."

Call to South Korea for Hormuz

In a statement released on his social media account regarding the issue, Trump said, "Iran has made attempts against some countries unrelated to the issue, including a South Korean cargo ship, in connection with ship movements under Project Freedom.

Perhaps it is time for South Korea to come and join this mission. We sank seven small boats, or 'fast' boats as they call them. That is all they have left. Other than the South Korean ship, there has been no damage to any ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz so far. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Caine will hold a press conference tomorrow morning."
