During his visit to the Department of Justice, Trump addressed the Russia-Ukraine war, saying, "We had very good discussions with Russia and Ukraine today. I received good news. Ukraine has accepted a ceasefire, and we can persuade Russia, even if it is difficult. We are getting good answers."
Criticizing former President Joe Biden over the war in Ukraine by saying, "He should never have let us get involved with Russia," Trump added, "Biden should never have allowed this war. You don't pick a fight with someone much bigger than you, even if you have a lot of money."
Stating that approximately 2,000 young people are dying every day due to the war, Trump noted the following:
"Everything was heading toward World War III. We are in a much better position now. This would have been a war like no other, due to nuclear weapons and other types of weapons that people would not want to know anything about."
