US President Donald Trump announced that they have informed the Tehran administration that the ceasefire with Iran has definitively ended.
Sharing on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, "The Islamic Republic of Iran asked us to continue the talks. We agreed to do so. However, the United States has informed them, in no uncertain terms, that the ceasefire is over."
WHAT HAD HE SAID PREVIOUSLY?
According to the US-based CNN television, Trump had reiterated that Washington would not allow Tehran to acquire nuclear weapons.
Pointing out that a potential US attack could be large-scale, Trump indicated that these attacks could target power and water plants, and if necessary, could also include taking control of Kharg Island.
Trump had also said at the NATO Summit, after directing harsh criticisms regarding Iran, "I think the ceasefire is over; dealing with them is a waste of time."
