Trump: When I left, we had no wars, no problems, no inflation

U.S. President Donald Trump took aim at the former Joe Biden administration during his speech at the National Prayer Breakfast. Trump stated that there were no wars or economic crises during his previous presidential term, attributing the Russia-Ukraine War and the conflicts in the Middle East to the mistakes of the Biden administration.

Criticizing the U.S. economy and global security policies, Trump noted that inflation had reached record highs, saying, "When I left, we had no wars, no problems, no inflation. But now there is the Russia-Ukraine war, instability in the Middle East, and inflation."

Sharing the pain of families who lost loved ones in the October 7 events, Trump said, "If the hostages are not released by the time I take office, there will be hell to pay in the Middle East." Emphasizing that he would continue to apply pressure for the rescue of the hostages, Trump stated, "As President, I will not rest until all remaining hostages are returned to their families."

"IRAN WAS BROKE"

Trump stated that Iran was in a difficult economic situation during his administration but regained strength after the current administration lifted sanctions, saying, "Iran was broke, but they lifted the sanctions and did everything wrong."

Touching upon the Russia-Ukraine War, Trump said, "This should never have happened. Millions of children have died, thousands of soldiers have lost their lives. 800,000 Russians and 600,000-700,000 young Ukrainians are dying on the battlefield. But we are making progress to stop this war."

"AN INCREDIBLE THING HAPPENED AND I AM HERE"

Referring to the assassination attempt he survived during his election campaign, Trump said, "It was truly God who saved me. I shouldn't be here today. But an incredible thing happened and I am here."

Trump added, "We are working to restore security and peace everywhere, from the streets of our cities filled with gangs to the war-torn lands of the Middle East."
