US President Donald Trump stated that they will make an announcement regarding the Gaza Strip within 24 hours. Trump said, "There is a lot of talk about Gaza right now, you will probably learn about it within the next 24 hours."

A source with knowledge of the ceasefire negotiations in Gaza stated that there is no new proposal for a ceasefire on the table, saying, "There are intense efforts by mediators and contacts have never been cut off, but there is no concrete proposal yet. Hamas is still insisting on a full ceasefire in exchange for ending the war, while Israel does not want to end the war."

It had been reported that Trump's Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, was expected to brief UN Security Council members today at the US mission to the UN regarding US policy on Gaza and nuclear negotiations with Iran.
