U.S. President Donald Trump blamed Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and former U.S. President Joe Biden regarding the Russia-Ukraine War. In a post on his social media account, Trump stated, "The Russia-Ukraine War is Biden's war, not mine. I just got here."
Stating that he prevented the war from breaking out during his previous presidential term, Trump said, "President Putin and everyone else respected your President."
Emphasizing that he had nothing to do with the Russia-Ukraine War, Trump said, "I have nothing to do with this war, but I am working diligently to stop the deaths and destruction."
Reiterating his claim that the 2020 presidential election in the U.S. was rigged, Trump said, "If the 2020 presidential election hadn't been rigged, which it was, this terrible war would never have happened. President Zelensky and crooked Joe Biden did a terrible job by allowing this tragedy to start. There were countless ways to prevent it before it began. But that is in the past. Now we must stop it."
In response to a question about the war in Ukraine, Trump said the only thing former President Joe Biden had to do to prevent the war was to keep oil prices down, but he failed to do so, adding, "This is a war that should never have started. There is a major abuse here. Now there is a country that has lost 25 percent of its land and its most beautiful territory, and millions are dead."
"IT DOESN'T WORK THAT WAY"
Claiming that an average of 2,500 people lose their lives every week on both sides in Ukraine, Trump said, "Biden should have stopped this. Zelensky should have stopped this. And Putin should never have started the war. They are all to blame."
Accusing Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of incompetence, Trump said, "You shouldn't get into a war you can't win. I mean, you can't start a war against someone 20 times bigger than you and then hope people will give you missiles. It doesn't work that way."
Holding Russian President Vladimir Putin, Biden, and Zelensky responsible for the loss of life in the Ukraine-Russia War, Trump said, "Millions of people have died because of three people. Number one is Putin, number two is Joe Biden, even if he doesn't know what he's doing, and number three is Zelensky. The only thing I can do is try to stop it. All I want is to stop the deaths. I think we are making good progress on that. I think you will hear some very good proposals soon."
