US President Donald Trump made a statement regarding the violation of the ceasefire. Speaking to ABC, Trump used the phrases "A little tap, we just gave it a little caress" for the attacks.

Trump said, "The ceasefire is continuing and is in effect. The retaliatory attacks were just a love tap."

Later, making another statement via his Truth Social account, Trump said the following:

“Three American destroyers passed through the Strait of Hormuz very successfully while under fire. There was no damage to any of the three destroyers, but great damage was inflicted upon the Iranian attackers.

They were completely destroyed; many small boats used to replace their navy, which had its head completely cut off, were also destroyed. These boats quickly and effectively hit the bottom of the sea. Missiles were fired at our destroyers, but they were easily shot down.

Likewise, drones came and were burned to ashes while in the air. They fell into the ocean in an extremely beautiful way; they were like a butterfly gliding to its grave! A normal country would allow the passage of these destroyers, but Iran is not a normal country.

The country is run by madmen, and if they had the opportunity to use a nuclear weapon, they would do so without hesitation — But they will never get that opportunity, and just as we neutralized them today, if they do not sign their agreements quickly, we will hit them much harder and much more violently in the future! Our three destroyers with their wonderful crews will now rejoin our naval blockade, which is truly a ‘Steel Wall’.”
