Trump's persistence on Greenland continues

US President Donald Trump made statements while Vice President James David Vance and his delegation were visiting Greenland. Speaking to reporters in the Oval Office at the White House, Trump announced that his administration had reached an agreement with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom. Stating that the firm would contribute 100 million dollars to voluntary efforts approved by the administration, Trump said, "This was essentially a deal. Skadden will provide a total of at least 100 million dollars worth of pro bono legal services during the Trump administration and beyond."

"WARSHIPS ARE PASSING BY"

Touching upon Vice President J.D. Vance's visit to Greenland, Trump said, "We need Greenland. It is very important for international security, we need to possess Greenland. We cannot do it without it."

Emphasizing that control over Greenland is a matter of peace not just for the US, but for the entire world, Trump stated, "Look at this, warships are passing right by Greenland everywhere. We will not allow this to happen. I hope Denmark and the European Union understand this. If they don't, we will have to explain it to them."

The US President said that Vance and his delegation would represent the US very well.

"BAD THINGS WILL HAPPEN TO IRAN"

In his speech, Donald Trump warned that "very bad things" would happen if Iran did not reach an agreement regarding its nuclear program. US President Trump said, "Iran is very high on my list of things to watch. As you know, I sent them a letter recently and said, 'you are going to have to make a decision one way or another.' Either we will have to talk, or very bad things will happen to Iran. I don't want that to happen."

Stating that he wants a solution with Iran, Trump said, "My great preference, and I don't say this out of strength or weakness, is that we resolve this with Iran. But if we cannot resolve it, bad, bad things will happen to Iran."

Responding to journalists' questions about why he pardoned former Nikola Corporation CEO Trevor Milton, Trump noted that the legal process was political and unfair, stating, "The thing they said he did wrong was being one of the first people to support Donald Trump for the presidency."

HE SPOKE WITH CARNEY

Announcing that he had a phone call today with Canada's new Prime Minister Mark Carney, Trump emphasized that there was no major disagreement between them, saying, "We had a very good conversation with the Prime Minister, and I think everything will turn out very well between Canada and the United States."

In his speech, Trump also said that aid would be provided to Myanmar, which was shaken by two earthquakes measuring 7.7 and 6.4 in magnitude.
