US President Trump evaluated the agenda to members of the press on the plane while returning to Washington from Florida, where he spent the weekend holiday.

Responding to a question about whether additional sanctions would be imposed on Iran, Trump said, "There are a few additional sanction items. We have additional tariffs for Iran, and if we do not see any progress, we will implement them in a few weeks. We are not implementing them right now."

Trump stated, "Regarding additional tariffs on Iran, we will decide based on whether they make a deal or not. If they are going to make a deal, then we will never impose new tariffs."

Emphasizing that he prefers Iran to agree to a deal, Trump argued that otherwise, it would not be good for Tehran.

Trump added that he believes the Iranian administration will make a deal on the nuclear issue.
