Tsunami warning following 7.5 magnitude earthquake
A tsunami alert has been issued following a 7.5 magnitude earthquake in southern Chile. The quake was felt in many cities across Argentina and Chile.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) announced that the epicenter of the earthquake was the Drake Passage off the coast of the Chilean Antarctic Peninsula.
The earthquake, which occurred at a depth of approximately 10.8 kilometers, was felt in many cities in Argentina and Chile.
TSUNAMI ALERT ISSUED FOLLOWING EARTHQUAKE
It was announced that the Chilean Navy's Hydrographic and Oceanographic Service (SHOA) issued a tsunami alert following the earthquake.
SHOA ordered the evacuation of coastal areas, rocky shores, wetlands, estuaries, river mouths, coastlines, pedestrian paths, marinas, coastal roads, fishing shelters, ports, and piers.
