Turkey-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement has entered into force
The Ministry of Trade announced that the Turkey-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement entered into force on October 1, and that customs duty regulations regarding trade in goods will begin to be applied as of January 1, 2027.

In a statement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was stated, "Turkey and Ukraine aim to develop commercial relations within a more predictable framework.
The Turkey-Ukraine Free Trade Agreement entered into force on October 1, 2026.
Customs duty regulations regarding trade in goods will begin to be applied as of January 1, 2027. The agreement aims to contribute to the continuation of trade between the two countries under more predictable rules in current conditions.
The agreement, signed on February 3, 2022, establishes a framework for the development of commercial relations in line with the common goal of reaching a trade volume of 10 billion dollars between the two countries in the short term."

In the statement, which noted that the agreement was prepared by taking sensitive sectors into account, it was stated, "The Agreement, prepared by also taking into account the sensitive sectors of the parties; includes regulations regarding services, investments, electronic commerce, trade facilitation, and customs cooperation, in addition to trade in goods.
It is aimed that the regulations regarding the realization of bilateral and transit transport between Turkey and Ukraine without quotas will contribute to supporting commercial flows.
At a time when Ukraine's economic integration with the European Union is progressing, the Agreement offers a framework for maintaining preferential trade opportunities for Turkish and Ukrainian businesses, while providing a competitive advantage against other third-country suppliers."
