Activists who were detained by Israel following an intervention in international waters against the Freedom Flotilla, which set out to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, have returned to Turkey. A total of 94 activists, including 18 Turkish citizens who were on the Conscience Ship that was seized by Israel, were evacuated on a private flight.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli stated in his announcement, "Our 18 citizens who were detained by Israel are being brought to our country via a special flight."

Following this statement, the Turkish Airlines plane carrying the activists landed at Istanbul Airport.
