Turkish citizen from Bayburt dies after being attacked by 5 people in France: Masked and armed assailants attacked
Salih Aktürk, a citizen from Bayburt living in France, lost his life after being attacked by unidentified individuals. The identities of the attackers have not yet been determined.

51-year-old Salih Aktürk, a native of Bayburt who had been living in the French city of Metz for 5 years, lost his life in an attack carried out by unidentified individuals in a supermarket parking lot.
While it was learned that the masked attackers fled the scene after the incident, the Metz Public Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into the crime of 'robbery resulting in death through the use of violence'.
Salih Aktürk, who had worked as a driver in Bayburt before moving to Europe to work about 5 years ago, was employed as a driver for a bus line operating between Paris and Turkey. During a break in his route, Aktürk was subjected to a knife and armed attack by 5 masked individuals, who killed him before fleeing.
The body of Salih Aktürk, who lost his life in the attack, will be brought to Turkey today. Aktürk will be laid to rest on Saturday, September 14, 2024, following the funeral prayer to be held at the Yeşilyurt Village mosque after the noon prayer.
