In a video recorded in the Jacumba region of California, the words of one of the unnamed individuals were featured. During the interview, the Turkish citizen said that Americans should be worried about the lack of security at the border.

PAID 10 THOUSAND DOLLARS TO CROSS THE BORDER

Speaking to the cameras, the Turkish citizen said he paid approximately 10 thousand dollars to a cartel to cross the border.

The young man said, "Actually, the American people are completely right. Who is coming to this country? They don't know. Okay, I am a good person. But what if the others are not good? They could be murderers or psychopaths. There is no guarantee of that."

He stated that there were no security checks at the border and that those crossing the border were not being vetted.

He told Fox News that his journey to the US took 24 days and that before arriving in Central America to reach the US, he traveled through Qatar, Dubai, Egypt, South Africa, and Brazil.

"AMERICANS SHOULD BE WORRIED"

The reporter also stated in a post on the social media platform X that the Turkish citizens had applied for US visas many times, decided to cross the border illegally after being rejected, and were surprised at how easy it was.

The reporter said, "He told me, 'Americans should be worried about security and who is crossing the border.'"

Tech billionaire Elon Musk also reacted to the news, unable to hide his astonishment, by saying "Wow."

According to a report by NBC News on May 7, the number of Turkish citizens entering the US illegally was 60 four years ago, while it reached 15 thousand 430 in 2023.
